WOW! Holy Crap! What a Deal!!
This is technically the second 'Bastards' CD. However, it is the first (and only) CD we recorded as a full band. The whole idea was to record a CD that sounded like we sounded like as a live band. Mission pretty much accomplished. The music was tracked live at the world famous Club Awesome by our friend Steve Brodsky (from Cave In, Pet Genius, Octave Museum, namedrop, namedrop, namedrop). Aside from the vocals, there are no overdubs--what you see is what you get. Yes, even the keyboards--all live. Even the vocals were tracked live, in that Camp and I sang together at the same time--which was a total pain in the ass and I'll never do it that way again. Anyhow, with the very bare minimum of digital tomfuckery, we present to you, Live! at Club Awesome.
We had it mastered to analog tape to give it that nice glossy sheen by our buddy, Nick Z.
Chromepeeler Records paid the bill to get them pressed, which was a bad deal for them, because we got all defunct very quickly after that happened--which I still feel bad about. Real life intrudes despite our best efforts.
